lumber and plywood. The fire treated lumber and plywood
is created by impregnating the material with a combination
of organic and inorganic salts. The standard fire test
used to determine flame spread characteristics of wood
building materials in the United States is ASTM E-84.

| Many projects require the use of pressure treated
lumber and plywood. The most common use of this product
is in playgrounds and gardening enclosures. Our sales
staff can help you determine when this specialized lumber
is called for. Due to environmental concerns, most treating
companies now use an arsenate free treatment known as
A.C.Q. (alkaline copper quaternary). We also stock a
full line of dimension lumber and plywood carrying this
treatment. |
